Presentation Overview:
As an animator one is asked to adapt their work to an enormous variety of characters and worlds each one with its own unique set of rules. "One Man Band" is Pixar's newest short film, scheduled to be released theatrically in the summer of the 2006. The production of the film will be explained from concept to storyboarding, model building, animation, texturing, lighting, then finally finished film.

For this film I helped with preproduction animation and was then cast a challenging succession of scenes in which two men, each laden with musical instruments, battle to the finish. I'll go through my process of animation, from assignment to finished take. Special attention will be paid to how I approach a scene when animating, including thumb-nailing, video reference, posing, timing, detail polishing, with special emphasis on scene planning and blocking.
