National Bank of Abu Dhabi Supports and Participates in the UAE Educational IT Challenge

Dubai, UAE. The National Bank of Abu Dhabi announced today its support for the UAE Educational IT Challenge. An initiative of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University, Ministry of Education and Knowledge Village, the UAE Educational IT Challenge was launched under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

“We are delighted that National Bank of Abu Dhabi will participate and support the 2004 UAE IT Challenge” said Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Director of Community Relations and Manpower Development for the Higher Colleges of Technology.

“NBAD is happy to participate and support this unique project which aims to develop UAE Nationals as well as talent in the UAE”, said Mr. Ahmed Al Noweis, Head of Policies and Business Communications for the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. “This initiative of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Ministry of Education, Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University and Knowledge Village will help to develop our future business leaders and we would like to be part of this endeavor.”

A record total of 487 projects were recently received for the challenge. Winners will receive their awards from His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research at an award banquet to be held on April 25th at Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
