FIVE UAE PROJECTS IN FINALS OF GLOBAL JUNIOR CHALLENGE
Five projects from the United Arab Emirates have reached the finals of the Rome Global Junior Challenge. They have been invited to Rome to display their projects on November 16-19th 2004.

The total number of finalists announced was 84 from 647 projects entered by over 70 countries.

The focus on projects and criteria for judging is different from the UAE Challenge. The Rome Global Junior challenge focuses more on issues of social impact, development of job opportunities and empowerment of women. The UAE IT Challenge has focused on issues of improving education within the classroom.

We congratulate all the finalists in the Rome Global Junior Challenge, and in particular, the five projects from the UAE.
